A 27 year old man, Ikenna James, has allegedly raped a 29 year old graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Oluwatosin Adefisayo, and strangled her to death at the Ogijo axis of Ogun state.
The suspect, now in police custody, allegedly committed the act with a friend now on the run, by breaking into the room of their victims through the ceiling of her home.
Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said they both raped their victim who was fast asleep and strangled her to death.

Neighbours who woke up to discovered the broken roof, invited local vigilante who caught the suspect while descending from the ceiling, where he had been hiding after the act.
Oyeyemi said the suspect under interrogation claimed they decided to kill the woman when they discovered that she recognized them.
The police spokesman said the parents of the suspect told the police that he is a black sheep in the family, and they have given up on him.
