Lagos State government has extended its ban on commercial motorcycles (Okada) to four more local government areas.

The four local government areas are Oshodi-Isolo, Koshofe, Somolu, and Mushin.

The fresh extension is also to be enforced as from September 1st in six Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

The LCDAs are Ikosi-Isheri, Agboyi-Ketu, Isolo, Ejigbo, Bariga, and Odi Olowo.

Transportation commissioner, Frederick Oladeinde, announced the fresh ban at a news conference on Thursday in Ikeja, Lagos.

Already, riding of commercial motorcycles has been banned in Lagos Mainland and Lagos Island, as well as Ikeja, the state capital.
