An operative of Ogun state security outfit, “So-Safe Corps”, Sofolahan Olanrewaju has been killed by kidnappers while on duty at the Soyoye axis of Abeokuta.
The kidnappers, who killed him while invading Garden of Comfort lodging bar and event centre in the area also abducted a woman at the centre.
The incident which occurred on Sunday night has caused panic in the area.

The commander of So-Safe Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, in a statement issued by the agency’s spokesman, Moruf Yusuf said the operative was killed while attempting to call for reinforcement to repel the attack.
Ganzallo said the operation team of the Egba Zonal Command of the corps swiftly moved to secure the area from further attacks while the body of the slain operative has been deposited in the morgue of the state hospital, Sokenu, Abeokuta.
He described the slain officer as an active and committed operative while sympathizing with members of his family.
