JAMB Donates Equipment to Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta

Medical equipment and consumables worth millions of naira have been donated to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.

The donation by the US based project C.U.R.E, was facilitated by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The donated items include theatre beds, wheel chairs, electrical emergency beds, neurosurgery o and g/orthopedic surgery packs, centrifuge machines, and bi-pap units

Others are defibrillator, ECG machines, nebulizers microscopes, adult ventilators, and cystoscopy scope sets.

Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede handed over the items to the medical director of the Federal Medical Centre, Professor Adewale Musa-Olomu at the hospital’s premises.

Oloyede said that FMC, Abeokuta was one of the 12 selected health facilities in the six (6) geo-political zones who were beneficiaries of the donation.

He urges the hospital’s management team to make judicial use of the donated items.

The hospital’s medical director promised that the equipment and consumables would be distributed across departments in the centre.
