Iwuanyanwu Wants Power Rotation in 1999 Constitution

A member of the elder council of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has suggested that rotational presidency should be entrenched in the 1999 constitution.

According to him, limiting of the zoning of the presidency to the north and south by political parties is vague.

The elder statesman speaking to newsmen said the presidency should rotate between Nigeria’s six geo-political zones for the sake of equity, justice and fair play.

Iwuanyanwu explains that the 2023 presidency ought to have rotated to the south east region since both south south and south west had produced president in the post 1999 democratic dispensation.
