INEC To Spend N355bn On 2023 Polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to spend N355 billion for the conduct of the polls in 2023.

INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, announced this before the Senate Appropriation Committee while defending the electoral body’s 2023 budgetary allocation.

According to the breakdown of the commission’s 2023 budgetary estimates, N305 billion is for the conduct of the 2023 polls.

According to the INEC Chairman,  N50billion is for the off season governorship polls in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States on November 11, 2023.
