Two Persons Killed, Police Officer Shot, In Fresh Bloody Clashes In Sagamu

Police are tracking cultists in Sagamu, who shot a police officer during fresh clashes between rival cult groups in the town.

Two persons were also killed in the bloody clashes which started on Wednesday night and spread into Thursday, throwing the town into panic.

The fighting which started at Agbowas axis of the town resulted in the first death, later spread to other parts.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi said seven suspects have been arrested by a police team deployed, while others were being tracked.

He confirmed that a police officer who was shot by the cultists, was still hospitalized.

Oyeyemi said the police officer was in a stable condition.

The police image maker said police recovered some pellets of cartridge from the body of the shot police officer.
