Hit-And-Run Truck Driver Kills Four Passengers, Injure Nine In Abeokuta

A hit-and-run truck driver has crashed into a passenger bus on the Abeokuta-Ota expressway, leaving four persons dead.

Nine others were injured in the accident which occurred on Thursday at Obada Oko axis of Abeokuta.

Spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpeh, said the truck was unmarked, while the passenger bus was marked KRD 831 YD.

According to Okpeh, the driver of the truck who was driving against the traffic, refused to stop after his vehicle collided with the passenger bus.

Those killed and injured were passengers in the bus.

The state FRSC sector commander, Ahmed Umar urges passengers to caution reckless drivers and report them to FRSC on a toll free line 122.

Those injured had been taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta and another hospital in the area.
