Gunmen have raided a catholic parish in Sokoto state.

The catholic parish, Saint Patrick catholic church in Gidan Maikanbo, Kafur local government area was raided in the early hours of Wednesday.

Director of social communication of Sokoto catholic diocese, Reverend Father Christopher Omotosho, confirmed the attack.

According to him, the parish priest, his assistant and two other boys were taken away from the rectory of the parish.
