Gunmen Kidnap Passengers from Bus along Akure-Ilawe Ekiti in Ondo

Unspecified number of passengers have been abducted from an 18 seater bus in Ondo State.

Gunmen waylaid the passenger bus on Tuesday along Akure-ikerre Ekiti highway.

The passengers who were heading from Akure to Ado Ekiti were intercepted at Iju Ita Ogbolu axis of the highway.

The gunmen after forcing the bus to a halt, dragged out its passengers at gunpoint and marched them into forest.

In another news: Three suspected members of Eiye Confraternity have been arrested at Sango Ota in Ogun State.

The suspects now in police custody, were Dakwo Jackson; Joel Obieva and Oluwaseun Bamidele.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, said they were arrested at school three in Joju axis of Sango Ota.

According to her, the suspects were members of a five man cultist gang who were converging on the school premises to prepare for an operation.

She said two other members of the gang, including their leader managed to escape arrest.

The police image maker said manhunt have been launched by the police for those on the run.
