A truckload of cattle has been set on fire by gunmen in Anambra state.

The driver of the truck and his mates were injured in the attack, which took place on Sunday at Uga in the Aguata local government area.

The truckload of cattle was on its way to a market, when it was intercepted by the gunmen.

Gunmen have been on rampage in the south-east region, particularly in Imo, Anambra, and Ebonyi states.

A few days ago, a military couple were beheaded and burnt by a group of gunmen in Imo state.
