Governors To Meet EFCC, ICPC, FIRSC And CBN Officials On Their Security Votes

The 36 state governors are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, ahead of the May 29 hand over of power by some of them.

On top of the agenda of the meeting is the controversial issue of the security votes of the governors.

The meeting, will discuss how to better manage the security votes collected by governors, which they are not accountng for.

Director general of the nigeria governors forum, Asishana Okauru, in  a statement, said the meeting would be virtual.

The meeting would also have in attendance top officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and related Offences Commission (ICPC) and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

The meeting is being convened at the instance of the nigeria financial intelligence unit.

Other issues on the agenda of the meeting were the cashless policy of cbn, and the uniformed development of post code to meet the global standard.
