The convoy of former president Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy has been involved in a crash, leaving two police officers dead.
The former president was unhurt in the crash, which occurred while he was on his way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, Abuja to his residence in Abuja.

Two other police officers attached to Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy were also injured in the crash.
The late officers in the escort vehicles are inspectors Ibrahim Abaz and Yakubu Toma.
Jonathan in a statement issued shortly after the incident describes the crash as painful.
