Goodluck Jonathan Rejects APC Form, Says He is Not Interested in 2023 Presidency

Former president Goodluck Jonathan has resisted attempts to drag him into the 2023 presidential race on the platform of the APC.

A group of Fulani and Almajiri on Monday purchased the 100 million naira nomination forms for Jonathan at the APC national secretariat, Abuja.

Later, Goodluck Jonathan visited the APC national chairman, Senator Adamu Abdullahi behind closed doors, as his office announced the rejection of the nomination form.

Jonathan office in a statement issued hours after the form was purchased for Jonathan, denied the report circulating that the former president had joined the 2023 presidential race.

The office clarified that Jonathan is not a member of the APC.

While appreciating the gesture of the groups which purchased the nomination form, the office explained that Jonathan is not committed to the poll.
