Former governor Gbenga Daniel has formally joined the 2023 poll race for the APC ticket for Ogun East senatorial seat in Ogun state.

He picked his nomination and expression of interest forms on Wednesday at the APC national headquarters in Abuja.

The APC national chairman, Senator Abdullahi, presenting the forms to Daniel, said he was excited that he showed interest in the senatorial seat.

According to Adamu, candidature of Daniel in the race has assured APC of victory in the Ogun East senatorial district.

The APC chairman said he has known Daniel for several years and they have had a good relationship.
