FUNAAB VC Bows Out

The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Kolawole Salako, spent his last day in office on Monday, following the expiration of his tenure.

An acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Olusola Kehinde, is expected to step into his shoes today in the institution.

The university’s staff, to mark the last day of the outgoing Vice Chancellor in office, on Monday, organized a send off party in his honour, with traditional rulers of the university’s host communities in attendance.

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Professor Christian Ikeobi, said the outgoing Vice Chancellor brought positive growth and development to FUNAAB.

The deputy Vice Chancellor recalled that during his tenure, FUNAAB college of veterinary medicine emerged as Nigeria’s best, while the institution moved from thirty eight to the ninth position in Nigerian University ranking.
