Fresh Detentions In China As Covid Protests Spreads
Chinese police in Shanghai China, detained at least two people on Monday at a site that has seen Covid protests two nights in a row.
A long line of blue barriers has also been placed along the road where demonstrators had gathered.
The protests against strict COVID measures have spread to some of China’s biggest cities.

Over the weekend people gathered in the capital Beijing and Shanghai, where some called for President Xi Jinping to resign.
People are angry at Xi’s zero-covid approach, which involves mass testing, quarantines and snap lock downs.
It follows a protest in the north-western city of Urumqi, where 10 people died in a tower block fire.
