Fleeing Convict From Kuje Custodial Centre Re-Arrested in Ogun

One of the fleeing inmates from Kuje custodial centre, Abuja has been re-arrested in Ogun state.

Yakubu Abdulmumuni was arrested by the police at Sango Ota.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi said he was arrested after he was sighted in the town.

According to oyeyemi, Abdulmumuni, during interrogation confessed that he was one of the convicts who escaped during the terrorist attack on Kuje custodial centre.

Oyeyemi added that he further confessed his conviction by a Kogi state high court for conspiracy and homicide before he was transferred to Kuje prison.

The state police commissioner, Lanre Bankole had ordered that he be transferred to the national correctional service.
