FG Okays Ogun Template for Funding Ota-Abeokuta Expressway

Ogun state government has received a federal government’s approval for a template for funding the ongoing reconstruction of the Ota-Abeokuta expressway.

The approved template is an agreement on the part funding of the Ota-Abeokuta expressway project by the Ogun state government.

Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known in Ota, while speaking at the 70th birthday anniversary celebration of the chairman of the Ogun state house of assembly service commission, Olayiwola Taiwo.

According to the governor, his administration agreed to partly fund the project due to a shortfall in allocation in the 2022 federal budget for the project.

He explains that Ogun state government would provide for the shortfall to allow for the full completion of the road project.

The governor also said that Sango Ota-Idiroko road rehabilitation contract awarded to adenuga company under tax credit would soon take off.

Another major project, the Atan-Lusada-Agbara road under construction would be ready by October this year.
