Father to Spend the Rest of His Life in Prison, For Sexually Assaulting His Three Female Children

An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has jailed a father for life for sexually assaulting his three children.

The children aged five, seven, and nine years.

Justice Sola Soladoye in her judgment, ruled that the prosecutor failed to prove the charges of defilement against the man, and changed it to sexual assault by penetration.

Justice Soladoye said the children did not say their father inserted his manhood into their bum but inserted his fingers multiple times into it.

Sentencing the man to a life term, the judge described his conduct as despicable, morally corrupt, and against the order of nature.

She also convicted Oladimeji of the fourth count charge of sexual assault by penetration and sentenced him to life imprisonment on each count.

The judge, who said the prosecution failed to establish the three counts bordering on defilement, thereafter changed it to sexual assault by penetration and convicted him on each of the counts.

She also convicted Oladimeji on the fourth count of sexual assault by penetration and sentenced him to life imprisonment on each count.

The judge held that the sentence would run concurrently.

Soladoye said that the name of the convict should be registered in the Lagos State Sexual Offences Register.

The state counsel, Mrs Olufunke Adegoke, called five witnesses who testified against the convict to proof of its case while the convict testified as a sole witness.
