Ex Convict Rapes Minor To Death In Abeokuta, Police Hunt For Him

A 12 year old girl, Janet Fakeye, has been raped to death by an ex convict, Anu Orija at Fehintolu axis of Idiya, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The suspect who had just finished a jail term is now on the run, after the incident last Wednesday.

He, allegedly dragged the girl who was a junior secondary school student at the Army Secondary School, Alamala, Abeokuta, into his father house.

The ex convit then tied the hands and legs of the girl, covered her mouth  and allegedly raped her to death.

The suspect allegedly dumped the body of the girl in another building.

He escaped after dogs started barking, and neighbours attempted to arrest him.

Angry youths protesting the incident, set the house of the suspect’s father  on fire.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.

Oyeyemi said the suspect just finished a jail term before the incident.
