Daniel Writes Abiodun, Requests For The Stoppage Of His Monthly Pension

Former governor Gbenga Daniel has requested the Ogun State Government to stop paying his pensions, following his election as a senator in the February 25 polls.

He puts the monthly pension at 676 thousand and 376 naira.

Daniel, representing Ogun East in the Tenth Senate, requested the stoppage of the pension, in a letter written to Governor Dapo Abiodun.

In the letter dated June 14, 2023, he said following inauguration of the tenth national assembly on June 13, it would not be right for him as its member, to be collecting double emolument.

The former governor also said that since he left office as a governor in 2011, he had not benefited from any welfare package such as medical and transport from the state government.
