Dangote Cement Signs CDA Pact With Ibeshe Community

Dangote cement plant at Ibeshe in Ogun State has signed a five year Community Development Agreement (CDA) with its host communities to demonstrate its continuous commitment to the development of human capital and infrastructure of the communities.

The plant director, Mr. Azad Nawabuddin, stated this during the company’s maiden community day celebration held last Saturday at the company’s plant estate in the community.

According to him, the new agreement marked the beginning of a  new dawn for both the company and host communities, in the execution of the laid out social investment projects under the company’s social responsibilities activities.

He identified the collaboration and understanding enjoyed from their stakeholders as the important factors that has helped the company to weather the challenges of the year 2022.

Highlights of the celebration included the commissioning and handing over of some projects embarked upon by the company.

The projects include a lecture theatre at the School of Nursing, Ilaro, 435 metres Aga-Olowo community road and a Health Centre at Iboro community, as well as a solar powered borehole at Wasimi-Imasayi and five blocks of classroom each at the United Anglican Primary School Ibese.

The company also awarded scholarship to 120 students, distribution of over 200 grinding machines to women in the community.

Goodwill messages were also delivered by traditional rulers in Ibeshe and surrounding communities who graced the ceremony.
