Court Orders INEC To Resume Continuous Voter Registration
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been ordered by a Federal High Court in Abuja, to resume its Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
Justice Inyang Ekwo also ordered that the resumed CVR exercise should continue until 90 days to the February 2023 polls.
Justice Ekwo gave the order on Tuesday, while ruling in an application filed by one Anajat Salmon and four others.

The applicants contended in their application, that the stoppage of the CVR exercise before the stipulated timeline violated the Electoral Act.
The judge ruled that the application succeeded on merit.
The CVR exercise was launched by INEC in June 2021, for the registration and updating of voters’ information.
