Former governor Abdulaziz Yari has been picked up by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was arrested by the operatives on Sunday at his residence at Maitama axis of Abuja.

Sources claim the former governor was picked up by EFCC in connection with the ongoing investigation of the 80 billion naira allegedly laundered and diverted from the treasury by the suspended accountant general of the federation, Ahmed Idris.
Idris has been in the EFCC detention since May 16.
