Lecturers in federal colleges of education are warming up for a strike over the failure of federal government to meet their demands.
President of academic staff of colleges of education, doctor Smart Olugbeko said the planned strike would start by the end of this month if concrete steps are not taken to address their demands.

The lecturers are demanding the renegotiation of the 2010 agreement they signed with federal government, and the payment of the arrears of the national minimum wage.
Some of the other demands are the payment of the arrears of lower cadre staff.
The union president said they are resorting to strike because federal government in spite of several engagements had failed to address their demands.
