Federal government says it has restored the collapsed national power grid.

The collapse of the national power grid on Monday and Wednesday caused nationwide power outage.

Power minister, engineer Abubakar Aliyu, on Wednesday told the state house correspondents after the meeting of the federal executive council that collapsed power grid has been fixed.

He explained that technicians are now moving more megawatts of electricity onto the grid to normalize supply.

The minister blamed the grid collapse on gas supply problems and the scheduled maintenance of facilities.
