The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has granted Airtel Nigeria a full super-agent license to operate as an agency network.
This is coming six months after Airtel announced it has secured the license in principle.

The company in a statement signed by its secretary, Simon O’Hara, says the super-agent license allows it to create an agency network that can service the customers of licensed Nigerian banks, payment service banks and licensed mobile money operators in Nigeria.
The super agent license is distinct from the Payment Service Bank (PSB) license for which MTN received approval in principle on November 4, 2021.
The company, in the statement, did not state specifically when operations in that regard will resume.
