Buhari Sends Names of New Ministers to Senate for Approval

President Buhari has sent the names of seven persons to the senate for consideration and approval as new ministers.

Senate president, Ahmed Lawan read Buhari’s request during the Tuesday plenary of the senate.

The nominees are Henry Ikoh from Akwa Ibom state, Egwumakamam Ukama (Ebonyi), Umana Umana (Akwa Ibom), Goodluck Opiah (Imo), Umar El-Yakub (Kano), Ademola Adegoroye (Ondo), and Udum Odih from Rivers state.

Buhari in the letter says the seven nominees are to replace ministers who resigned to join the 2023 presidential race.

The ministers are Godswill Akpabio, Chief Ogbonaya Onu, Emeka Nwajuiba, Rotimi Amaechi, Uche Ogah, and Tayo Alaso-Adura.
