Buhari Says History Will Be Kind To Him, Indicts Nigerian Elites
President Muhammadu Buhari says history will be kind to him for the achievements of his administration while indicting Nigerian elites of being “very selfish” rather than uniting their might for the welfare of their fellow citizens
Buhari said those who would write the history, have to consider the security and economic situation that he met, while assuming office in 2015, and the difference he had made to the inherited conditions.
The president, speaking while inaugurating some projects during his ongoing official visit to Katsina State, again said he has done his best for the nation.
Buhari later at a Luncheon organized in his honour at the Katsina State Government House on Thursday, also indicted some Nigerian elites of being selfish.
The president said he often criticize the elites because they are not interested in the development and progress of Nigeria.
For instance, Buhari expressed concern why the elites failed to utilized the windfall from crude oil exports in the past, to move Nigeria forward.
According to the president, “I have no doubt that posterity will be kind to us on the account of our landmark projects and success”.
