Bola Tinubu Appoints New Service Chiefs, National Security Adviser, IGP, Others

President Bola Tinubu has retired all the service chiefs, the national security adviser, as well as, the inspector general of police, and the comptroller general of nigeria customs service.

They had been replaced immediately, according to the press officer in the office of the secretary to the government of the federation, Willie Bassey, on Monday night.

Malam Nuhu Ribadu is the new national security adviser, while the acting comptroller general of customs service is Adeniyi Adewale.

Furthermore, the new service chiefs, included major General Chris Musa as the Chief of Defence Staff; Major General T. Lagbaja as Army Chief of Staff; Rear Admiral E. Ogala

(Naval Chief of Staff), Air Vice Marshall H. Abubakar as the Air Chief of Staff.

However, Other key appointments are Kayode Egbetokun as the Acting Inspector General of Police; Major General I.

Unadiandeye as the Chief of Defence intelligence Agency, and Colonel Adebisi Onasanya as the commander of the brigade of guards.

Other major appointments made the president are Senator Abdullahi Gumel as his Senior Special Assistant to the Senate; Honorable Olanrewaju Ibrahim to the house of representatives.

Other appointed were Hadiza Usman as special adviser on cordination; Hanatu Musawa (special adviser forculture and entertainment economy).

Also, president tinubu has dissolved the governing boards of federal parastatals, agencies, institutions and government owned companies.

Those exempted include national population commission, the independent national electoralcommission, police service commission, code of conduct bureau,

federal character commission and federalcivil service commission.

Others exempted are national  judicial council, the council of state, national economic council, national security commission and revenue mobilization and fiscal commission.

The dissolution announced on monday night took efect from last Friday.

The chief executive officers of the dissolved boards had been directed to refer matters requiring the attention of the dissolved boards to the president,

through the permanent secretary of their respective supervising ministries.
