Bandits Attack Hospital In Niger, Kill Two, Abduct Medical Staff, Patients
Armed bandits have attacked a general hospital in Niger state, shooting two persons dead.
The attack was carried out for hours uninterrupted on Monday night at Abdulsalam Abubakar general hospital, Gulu in the Lapai local government area.
All medical staff, including medical doctors, nurses and pharmacist were taken away by the bandits during their invasion of the hospital.

Some of those abducted included head of clinical services and his wife, the head of hospital operation and his wife, the head of hematology, the head of medical laboratory, as well as wife and daughter of the chief pharmacist.
The bandits also abducted all patients they met in the hospital, except those with severe cases during the Monday night attack.
