Atiku’s Visit To Ogun Rescheduled To 2023

The scheduled visit of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to Ogun State this month, has been shifted to January 2023.

The rescheduled of his visit is due to and adjustment in the PDP Presidential Campaign schedule.

Meanwhile, the court of appeal sitting in Ibadan, is scheduled to hear the appeal of Ogun State PDP against the last September 28 judgement of a Federal High Court, Abeokuta on the party’s disputed primaries.

Ogun State PDP Spokesman, Asiwaju Bankole Akinloye, told a Rockcity FM Correspondent, Tobi Ojeleye, that the appeal would be heard by the appellate court on Monday, next week.

Justice Oluwatoyin Oguntoyinbo in the September 28 judgement being appealed against, had cancelled all the primaries conducted by the Ogun State PDP to elect candidates for the 2023 polls.

The judge ordered the Ogun State PDP to conduct fresh primaries within 14 days with a delegates list authenticated by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Apart from the Appeal, the State PDP had filed a separate suit accusing a governorship aspirant, Otunba Jimi Lawal, and two top INEC officials of forging the delegates list of the party.
