Atiku And Obi File Separate Petitions At Tribunal, Want Tinubu’s Results Revoked

The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his labour party’s counterpart, Peter Obi, have separately filed their applications at the presidential poll petition tribunal.

The petitions were filed to challenge the outcome of the February 25 poll in which the APC candidate, bola Tinubu, was declared its winner

Atiku was the runner up, while Obi came third.

Both candidates in their separate petitions asked the tribunal to declare them as winner of the February 25 presidetntial poll.

Alternatively, they want the tribunal to cancel the poll, and ordered a rerun by the independent national electoral commission.

According to Obi and Atiku, the APC candidate was not qualified to contest the poll

They also seek declaration that Tinubu was not elected by a majority of the lawful votes cast during the poll.
