Arsons Attack Another INEC Office In Ebonyi, Destroy Ballot Boxes, Others
Suspected arsonists have attack another office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ebonyi State, ahead of the 2023 polls.
The latest attack on Sunday night was on the INEC office at Iboko in the Izzi Local Government Area.
Items destroyed during the attack, included 340 ballot boxes, 130 voting cubicles, 14 electricity generating sets, a large water storage tanks, office furniture and fixtures, as well as permanent voter
cards.

INEC spokesman, Festus Okoye, in a statement said the attack was the third after those in Abeokuta in Ogun state and Ede in Osun state last November 10.
Okoye says the latest attack has raised to 50 the number of INEC offices attacked in 21 states, ahead of the 2023 polls.
