Chairman of the APC national caretaker committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, okays decisions taken in his absence by Governor Abubakar Bello as the acting chairman.
Buni asks APC stakeholders to ignore reports that his committee had cancelled all the decision taken by the Bello led caretaker committee.
According to Buni, he duly transmitted power to the Niger state governor to enable him undergo a medical treatment abroad.

There had been a confusion in the party’s leadership, when Buni travelled out of the country, and governor Bello took charge as the acting national caretaker committee’s chairman. however, Buni okays all the decisions taken in his absence saying he approves of them.
Some of the APC state governors, including Nasir El-Rufai, declared Bello as the authentic chairman, adding that Buni had been sacked by president Buhari for allegedly plotting to sabotage the March 26 national convention.
Tension in the party’s leadership was doused on Wednesday with a letter from Buhari to the APC governors, ordering them to allow Buni to conduct the national convention.
