AIG Warns Against Acts Capable of Causing Civil Unrest

Assistant Inspector of Police for Ogun and Lagos states, Adeleke Bode has warned police officers in the two states to be more professional and civil in their dealings with members of the public to avoid civil unrest.

He cautioned them against misconduct and other acts that may trigger civil unrest.

According to the AIG, this is to prevent another endsars protests, which he warns, may lead to the collapse of the police force.

The AIG, addressing officers and men at the Ogun state police command, Eleweran in Abeokuta on Thursday warns that in such scenarios, criminal elements will come out and perfect the mistakes they made during the last endsars protests.

He expresses concern over the high rate of cultism among men and officers of the police force as well as some in cybercrime

Bode directed the Ogun state police commissioner, Lanre Bankole to fish out those involved in cultism and cybercrime in the state police command.

Such police officers, according to him, are tarnishing the image of the police force.
