Adeleke Says Oyetola Left N76 Billion Unpaid Bills, Counters N14bn In Coffer

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has accused the administration of Gboyega Oyetola, of leaving behind N76 billion debt in unpaid salaries, pensions and insurance liabilities.

According to the finance ministry permanent secretary, Mrs Bimpe Ogunjumade, the debts include salaries (N29.87 billion); pensions arrears (N45.3 billion) and N554.6 million for the group life insurance.

The governor in a statement by his spokesman, Olawale Raheed, said this countered claims by former governor Oyetola that he left N14 billion in the state coffer.

Adeleke said they are still compiling other sources of debts left behind by the Oyetola administration.
