Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Honorable Ladi Adebutu, has led hundreds of PDP supporters to the state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to protest the outcome of last Saturday’s governorship poll.
Adebutu, who had said he would go to court to challenge the outcome of the poll, was accompanied by members of the state PDP executive committee and some leaders of the party.
The protest march took off from the state PDP secretariat at Kuto, with supporters chanting solidarity songs, on their way to the INEC headquarters.
The supporters were prevented from gaining entrance into the INEC office by security operatives who fired gunshots into the air to deter the defiant supporters.

He was eventually allowed to enter INEC office with two PDP leaders to meet the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Niyi Ijalaiye.
