Adebanjo Says Afenifere Will Pursue Peter Obi Petition Against Tinubu To Supreme Court

Afenifere ‘s leader Paayo Adebanjo, has vowed that the petition of the Labour Party against the outcome of the February 25 presidential poll, would be pursued to the supreme court.

The elder statesman said although labour party is not a member of Afenifere, it stands for the ideals of the organization.

The elder statesman spoke on the issue during a thanksgiving service to mark his ninety fifth birthday anniversary at saint Joseph Anglican Churcg, Ogbo Ijebu in Ogun state.

Pa Adebanjo said the poll was a daylight robbery, because it was marred with violence and needless killings.

The elder statesman is supporting Peter Obi of the Labour Party against president elect tinubu, on the ground that south east and not south west region should produce the next president.

His position had already split Afenifere, as a faction led by  Pa Fasoranti backed Tinubu.
