Abiodun Reads Riot Act to Criminal Elements, Promises To Make Ogun Too Hot For Them
Governor Dapo Abiodun has read a riot act at criminals operating in Ogun state, warning that the state is a no go area for them.
He said his administration would make the state too hot for criminals, adding that they would be smoked out and killed.
Abiodun issued the riot act, while receiving police officers who rescued three Indian nationals and a Nigerian who were kidnapped last week, at Ilishan axis of Sagamu-Ijebu Ode expressway.
He commended the officers, who were accompanied by the State Police Commissioner, Abiodun Alamutu, for their feat.
The Governor, commending security agencies in the state for their success they recorded since the beginning of the year, said his administration would deploy all resources at its disposal to secure the state from criminal elements.
He promised continued support for security agencies to effectively secure Ogun state which is regarded as Nigeria’s industrial hub.

Abiodun said the award given to him as the best state governor of the year in security justified the initiatives and investments of his administration in security.
The state police commissioner told the Governor that the officer who led the special operation for the last week’s rescue operation was led by a police officer just redeployed from Oyo state.
The police commissioner said items recovered from the scene of the crime include five AK-47 rifles, 109 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, eight AK-47 magazines, and two cell phones.
Alamutu, while reiterating that the state’s security architecture was working round the clock to ensure the safety of lives and property of the citizenry, especially along the axis where the incident took place, appreciated the state government for the support given to the Command so far.
