Abiodun Reads Riot Act to Abeokuta Market Miscreants

Governor Dapo Abiodun has read the riot act to the market miscreants disturbing activities at the Lafenwa market in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

The governor warns parents and guardians of the market miscreants to call them to order.

Abiodun, speaking while inspecting some ongoing capital projects in the city, expressed concern over the disruptive activities of the miscreants.

He promised to deploy personnel of the state Amotekun corps and OP-MESA to join the police in riding the market of the social miscreants.

The governor also assured traders in the market that power supply would be restored to the market within the two months, as well as a major drainage system to channel water into the Ogun river.

Apart from the market, the governor assessed the progress of work on the Lafenwa-Rounder expressway and Kemta-Somorin road projects, both in Abeokuta.

The governor promised that the Kemta-Somorin road project which aims at decongesting Obantoko road, would soon be completed.

He also inspected the 24 kilometre Ilishan-Ago Iwoye road which is undergoing reconstruction in Ogun east.
