Abiodun Meets Ogun APC 2023 Polls Candidates, OGD’s Absence Raises Dust

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has met with all the APC candidates contesting in the 2023 polls  in the state.

Rockcity FM gathers that the meeting, which took place on Sunday in Abeokuta, is preparatory to the take off of the party’s electioneering campaign across the state.

At the meeting were the governor, senatorial candidate for the Ogun West, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, his Ogun Central counterpart, Salisu Shuaib, as well as other candidates.

Absent from the meeting was former governor Gbenga Daniel, who is the APC senatorial candidate for the Ogun East district.

Daniel was away in Akure, in the company of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, during his visit to PA Reuben Fasoranti and Afenifere leaders.

It will be recalled that Daniel defied the last October 1, 2022 directive of the party’s state executive committee, to all APC candidates in the state to suspend their electioneering campaign.

Daniel not only inaugurated his electioneering campaign the following day in Ijebu Ode, he had since embarked on a house-to-house campaign in the Ogun East senatorial district to canvass for votes.
