37 Year Old Mother Allegedly Sell Her 18 Month Old Baby For N600,000 In Ogun
A 37 year old mother, Olaide Adekunle residing in Sango Ota, has allegedly sold her 18 month old baby girl for N600,000 to someone in Lagos.
The woman now in police custody, told detectives during interrogation that she sold the baby to settle a loan obtained from a micro finance bank.
She said the micro finance bank had been harrasing her to refund the loan, whose amount was not disclosed.
Detectives picked her up after her husband, Nureni Razaq, reported to the Sango Ota police station that the suspect left home with the baby girl last Saturday with the baby.
According to the husband, the suspect returned home later, without the baby, and all efforts to get her explained the where aboit of the baby, failed.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said detectives from the police station, later arrested the suspect who admitted selling the baby to someone in Lagos.
The suspect told the detectives that she ran to Lagos to escape the agents of the micro finance bank, and started selling sathcet water before she met a man who introduced her to a woman.
