300-Level Female Student of AAUA Found Dead in Hostel Room

A 300-level female student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), has been found dead in her hostel room.

Ifeoluwa Adekunle of the department POF Economics was found dead in her off-campus room on Sunday.

She was found in a pool of blood in the room.

The late student was suspected to have been stabbed to death by unknown persons.

Spokesperson of Ondo state police command, Funmi Odunlami, confirming the incident said, detectives had visited the room of the late student to begin their investigations.

A source, who preferred to be anonymous, said the killing caused apprehension among other students, stressing that the case had been reported to the police.

We found her in a pool of blood in her room. She was stabbed to death by yet-to-be-identified persons who came visiting. We know this is not a cult-related issue as some people are propagating.

We have reported the murder case to the police but seems they are slow in responding to our demands in identifying and tracking those behind this dastardly act.

She, however, ruled out insinuation that she might have been killed by cultists.

Her body had been evacuated by the police and deposited in a hospital morgue.
