21 Die, 11 Burnt Beyond recognition in Ogun and Yobe Auto Crashes

Eleven persons have been burnt beyond recognition in multiple fatal auto crashes in Ogun state, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Seven others, including a child, were also critically injured in the auto crashes on Friday night. Close to Ishara fly over bridge, near Ogere.

The death toll may rise.

The accident, according to the state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ahmed Umar, involved three vehicles, including two Mazda buses and a Previa bus.

The bus collided with the two Mazda buses, resulting into an explosion and fire outbreak.

The sector commander in a statement by the FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpeh, blames the accident on excessive speed and dangerous driving.

Also, ten persons have died, and seven injured in a fatal accident in Yobe state.

The ghastly accident occurred on Saturday night along Potiskum- Gombe expressway.

The crash took place near Gashaka.

Involved in the accident were a hummer bus marked GNL 350 XA and a Sharon bus marked XF 218 GME.
