We’re not competing with NNPC — Dangote

The President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has said the Dangote refinery is not competing with the Nigerian national petroleum company limited.

Dangote stated this on Thursday when he visited the new group chief executive officer of the NNPC, Bayo Ojulari, in Abuja.

Nnpc spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, who revealed the visit via a press statement on Friday, said it was part of ongoing efforts to promote mutually beneficial partnerships and foster healthy competition between the NNPC and the Dangote Refinery. It would be recalled that there seemed to be an unhealthy rivalry between the state-owned energy company and the $20bn refinery until recently, especially with the supply of crude oil in naira.
