Ogun carries out audit to determine damage to River Ajura

Ogun State Government Is Set To Carry Out A Comprehensive Audit Of A Company Named Harvest Feed And Processing Ltd, Along Ajura-Ogere-Iperu Axis, To Determine The Extent Of Pollution Done To Ajura Community River.

The Commissioner For Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya Made This Disclosure During The Inspection Of The Factory, Stating That It Was The Government’s Responsibility To Protect The Environment And Ensure The Well-Being Of The People.

Dr. Oresanya said harvest feed and processing ltd was sealed after receiving a petition from Ajura Youth Development Association, alleging that the factory discharged wastewater into their community river. The commissioner, however, appealed to the community youths to cooperate with the government to provide a lasting solution to the problem. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Harvest Feed And Processing Ltd, Alhaji Goke Adeyemi, However, assured the Commissioner that his Company was making moves to rectify the problem, stating that no single drop of wastewater would go into the river again.
