Analysts call for accountability and transparency in tertiary institutions

The Executive Director, Community Education Advancement of Peace and Development Initiative (CEAPDI), Sina Adefolahan and Qosim Suleiman, An Education Reporter with Premium Times, have advised the Management of the Nation’s Tertiary Institutions to embrace Accountability and Transparency.

 Adefolahan and Suleiman gave the Advice while featuring on Rockcity’s Flagship Programme, Day Break Show On Tuesday In Abeokuta.

 Suleiman, who has a Track Records of Covering the Education Sector, Said the Problems Associated with the Current allegations and counter-allegations of fraud in student’s loan scheme would not have arisen if the varsities were transparent.

The CEAPDI Boss Pointed Out That If The varsities Have Adhered To The Directive Of The Education Minister To Publish Their Schools Data And Make It Accessible To The Public, The Current Brohaha Over Students Loan Fraud Would Have Been Avoided. Most Participants On The Programme Supported The Position Of The Analysts Demanding That The Universities Should henceforth make The Records of their Revenue Generation Public Adding That Openess and Accountability should begin from The Nation’s Tertiary Institutions
