Low Scores reflect end of Cheating Era in UTME – Minister

The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has attributed the low performance in the 2025 unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) results to the improved integrity of the exam process.
The minister said on Tuesday during a channels’ TV Show that the outcome of the exam reflects a system where cheating has been drastically reduced. Alausa said the results from the joint admissions and matriculation board (JAMB) should not be viewed as a national setback but rather as a realistic reflection of the level of academic preparedness among students when examinations are conducted properly
